Last Month Revision Plan for Class XII Boards

Class XII board exams are a moment of stress for 12th graders. As the exam nears, it is a time of great pressure, having to balance the model exams in school, manage your NEET/JEE preparation, and revise the academic portions all at the same time. At this crucial juncture, it is necessary to have an effective revision plan in place for the last month before your exam.

If you are in search of a plan to carry on with your revision and cover the entire syllabus for a quick glance, then you have reached the right place. This article will give you a phased-out revision plan for the last month before your Class XII board exams.

  1. Prepare a timetable

Chalk out a study plan to revise each chapter in all the subjects. Allot a specific number of days for each subject and more time for important topics in each subject. Once you prepare the timetable, hang it in a place where you can look at it daily so you are constantly reminded that you need to follow the plan. Sticking to the plan is important to have an effective revision month.

  1. Continue with practice papers

It is the last month of preparation, so do not get the conception that you can stop solving sample papers. Even during your revision period, it is a wise idea to solve sample papers. Board exams have the possibility of repeating questions from earlier years’ papers. So, being constantly in touch with different questions from the previous years’ will prove useful in the exam hall. It will help you familiarize yourself with the exam pattern and you will get a better grasp of the subject.

  1. Do not read extra books

In the last month of your revision, it is better to stick to what you had studied. Many students make the mistake of referring to other books right before the exam and thus backfires for them in the worst way possible. Do not stray away from your syllabus books, because the questions asked will usually be from the prescribed books in the syllabus. Make sure you are thorough with each and every topic in your syllabus when you revise. The ideal way would be to make a checklist of topics in each subject and check them off as you finish them.

  1. Emphasize important chapters

We know that the entire syllabus is important, however, there will be few chapters in your syllabus that are extra important. Focus more on them and make sure you do not miss out on revising those chapters, as there are high chances more weightage will be given to those extra important chapters. Bucketize the formulas in those chapters, segregate the concepts, and have a thorough revision during that last month.

  1. Be an early bird

If you are a morning person or a night person, during the last month’s revision before boards, it is better to be an early bird. Early morning is the best time for you to revise in a calm environment with no distractions surrounding you. Your brain will not be distracted by the absence of external noises and will be able to focus more on what you are revising.

Sitting for long hours and revising day in and out is a strenuous activity and will drain you of energy. So, along with following the above pointers during your last month of preparation, make sure to eat nutritious food and take short breaks between your revision sessions. This will keep you energized and maintain a constant attention span. Do not study at a stretch and tire your brain. It needs its rest as much as your body needs the rest. So, eat healthy and stay healthy while following the above tips to perform well in your Class 12 boards.
