Minimum BITSAT Score Required for BITS Pilani | Goa & Hyderabad | BITS Cutoff

  • May 3,2021

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is the national level entrance exam conducted by BITS Pilani for admission to undergraduate programs in the 3 BITS campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. BITSAT is an online, computer-based test (CBT) held once a year. The exam is for 3 hours, conducted in over 60 test centres across India, and consists of 150 multiple choice questions to solve. Each year, 3 lakh students put their wits together to compete in BITSAT for around 2000 seats in the 3 campuses.

The BITSAT cut-off 2021 is the qualifying mark that candidates need to score to be eligible for counseling and admission in the BITS campuses. Aspirants have to score at least equal to or greater than the cut-off score to be eligible for counseling. The institute releases the cut-off post the announcement of the exam results and students have to note that there will be no category-wise cut-off for BITSAT. Each year, the cut-off mark increases with the increased competition and the difficulty of the paper.

There are various factors that affect the cut-off for each year in BITSAT. The number of candidates who give the exam influences the cut-off score. The more the number of candidates, the more the cut-off score tends to be. This is also related to the difficulty of the paper as mentioned earlier. Along with these 2 factors, the number of seats available for the academic year and the highest mark scored in the entrance exam also influence the year’s cut-off score.

There will be 2 separate merit lists that will be released post examination. The first list will be for all courses except B.Pharma, followed by the merit list for B.Pharma admissions. Candidates can regularly check the official BITS website for new updates regarding the examination and admission.

Aspirants appearing for BITSAT 2021 can refer to the previous years’ cut-off score trends to get an idea of the exam score. These official cut-off scores will provide you with a fair idea of the current year’s possible cut-off scores.

All the best!
