As the Covid-19 pandemic hardly shows any signs of improving, all the schools, colleges, and coaching institutes remain shut. Due to this, the education system has taken a serious blow and hasn't been able to recover from it completely. But the new trend of preparing via online classes saved the day. All classes are now being conducted online. This saves a lot of time as students don’t have to waste time traveling to the institute. If you are a student preparing to appear for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination), you have a good opportunity to prepare for it online while staying in the comfort of your home. If you are a student appearing for NEET and confused about the online preparation, then you may follow the steps mentioned below.

Make a Schedule

A proper routine can help you manage your time with ease and exponentially increase your efficiency in doing your work. It is best to start with a light schedule at first. Slowly increase your pace to cope up with the schedule and track your progress as well. Though study hours should slowly keep increasing in your timetable, always remember that it has to be an achievable goal.

Self Discipline

Coaching Institutes have now started teaching online. But the main problem that has arisen here is that students take online classes for granted and don’t focus on their studies. They play games or watch web series while the class is going on and don’t pay attention to what’s going on in the class and miss out on important concepts. Online classes should be attended with the same level of discipline as you would attend a normal physical class. Self-discipline plays a major role in your preparation during this period.

Practice Lots of Questions

Rather than just keeping on learning theory always attempt the questions given at the back of chapters. You should also solve the questions provided in study materials provided by your coaching institute and practice more questions from guides and prescribed books. Doing the questions gets you familiar with the pattern and increases your efficiency in solving the problems.

Solve Question Papers from Past Years

Nothing gets you more experience than solving the past year’s problems and question papers. Many questions get repeated every year and having practiced those questions beforehand, they are a piece of cake while encountering them in the paper. It also helps you get acquainted with the types of questions asked in the examination.

Time Management

One of the most important factors that can determine the outcome of a paper is time management. Many students miss out on the paper because of lacking time management. They aren’t able to solve as many questions as they could since they aren’t able to allot proper time to the questions.

Eat Properly

It may not look important at first glance but the kind of food you eat makes a difference to your daily life as well as health. Eat a nutritious balanced diet so that your body can get proper nourishment for continuing the studies and keep the mind focused. Don’t order food or eat outside too much as it’s not good for health especially if exams are nearby.

Take Proper Breaks

No human can work tirelessly for hours. Even if someone does that, the efficiency keeps on decreasing exponentially as every minute passes by after a certain amount of time has passed. Therefore you should take a proper break after you reach your limit. During this break just try to remember and recollect what you have studied during the previous study interval.

Do Smart Work

Smart work is also required alongside hard work. Focus more on the chapters that carry more weightage and less on the ones that carry less weightage of marks on the paper. Pay special attention to the chapters that are common in more than one subject and don’t miss out on the chapters in the last section of the as they are scoring. Always clarify the doubts as soon as possible.

Maintain Physical Health

During the lockdown, people often get lazy and don’t do any physical activity. This is not good for physical well-being and can cause health issues. Take a walk outside the house on the veranda or the terrace. Doing yoga and exercise is also beneficial for keeping the mind and body in good shape.

These are the things to be kept in mind for making the lockdown productive and completing the preparation to crack NEET. Stay safe and study well!
